05.03.2009 acquires funds for further growth from PARP.

MDPL Sp. z o.o., owned in 50% by K2 Web Systems Sp. z o.o., which is a subsidiary of K2 Internet SA, has signed an agreement with the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP) on subsidising the project with the funds originating from the national budget and the European Union devoted to supporting entrepreneurship and human resources development in the field of the electronic economy growth.

The subsidy from the EU funds amounts to 617,291 PLN and constitutes 85% of the project expenditure qualifying to be covered with the financial support. website deals exclusively with an online distribution of audiobooks in a directly downloadable format to be played on the computer, mp3 players, mobile phones, home stereos, car players (from a CD or a flash drive).

The acquired funds will be spent on covering the to-date and future costs related to the operations, which aim at providing online access to the digital products and developing the mobile access to the online digital products.

“The funds will be mainly devoted to intensify the marketing communications for the website aimed at increasing the popularity of this form of contact with the literature, which will also, to a large extent, allow our partners, i.e. publishers who entrusted their audiobooks to us, to feel the effects of the subsidy”, declares Marcin Beme, a Member of the Supervisory Board of MDPL Sp. z o.o.
